My Journey

Hi, I’m Hannah.

I’m an artist, mindfulness guide, songwriter, and former New Yorker now rooted in New Jersey.

Art has always been in my bones. My father was an art teacher in Korea and still paints to this day. In my earlier years, I leaned toward realism—precision, detail, getting everything “just right.” But chasing perfection left me disconnected. My brushstrokes grew tight, my body heavy.

Yoga, breathwork, and years of inner work cracked that open. I learned to paint from the inside out, to follow feeling instead of rules. Slowly, my work shifted into abstraction—toward movement, freedom, and play. And with it, my whole life loosened.

Now I share that process through Breath to Brush and other workshops. Using breath as the bridge, we let what’s inside move through the body and onto the canvas. It’s not about being “good” at art—it’s about presence, release, and authentic expression.

At the core of my work is this belief: creativity belongs to everyone. You don’t need to be an artist. You just need curiosity, a breath, and the courage to see what unfolds.

My Non-Linear Path of Learning

Throughout my quirky, non-linear life, I’ve trained as an actor, singer, classical pianist, and yoga & meditation teacher. I spent 15 years in NYC acting, singing jazz, and bartending to pay the bills. When my son Ben was born, I dove into yoga and meditation.

All these experiences gave me a well-rounded toolkit: acting taught presence and emotional truth, music taught rhythm and flow, and yoga and meditation taught awareness and the magic of breath. Together, they shape how I create—and how I guide others to tap into their own creative spark.

An Invitation

If you’ve ever felt like you’ve lost touch with your creativity, if perfectionism or daily pressures have dimmed your spark, or if you simply long for a space to reconnect with yourself—welcome. My workshops and courses are designed to help you slow down, breathe, and rediscover the joy of creating freely.

You don’t need experience. You don’t need a plan. You just need you. Together, we’ll explore what it feels like to create from presence, curiosity, and courage.

I’d love to have you join me, whether in a workshop, a course, or simply by following along with my journey. This is an open space—for art, for healing, for coming home to yourself.
